Product Description
weBoost/ Wilson Pro Signal 4G LTE IoT / M2M cell signal booster with AC Power Supply and mini-magnet mount antenna. For Internet of Things and Machine to Machine devices used inside cellular connected applications. Such applications include vending machines, Bank Automated Teller Machines (ATM), and any application that uses mobile connectiviy to tranfer wireless data, usually without human intervention. It is a direct-connect signal booster meaning the cable from amplifier directly connects to the cellular modem, tracking, monitoring and other cellular data device containing a SIM card to ensure signal reliability and increase data speeds in poor signal environments. That SIM card requires consistent wireless connectivity to operate the M2M or IoT machine properly by utilizing paid wireless subscription service.
It is a direct-connect signal booster meaning the cable from amplifier directly connects to the cellular modem, tracking, monitoring and other cellular data device containing a SIM card to ensure signal reliability and increase data speeds in poor signal environments. Therefore, it cannot be used for smartphones today that practically never have a direct antenna port connection. If you need to improve signal on a smartphone, you need a wireless cell phone signal booster.
The SIM card in a cellular device such as cellular modem or mobile hotspot device like Mi-Fi (not a mobile hotspot created in a smart phone because that won't have an antenna port to connect cable that comes with this M2M direct connection kit) requires consistent wireless connectivity to operate the M2M or IoT machine properly by utilizing paid wireless subscription service. This kit helps provide that consistent connectivity.
Only one cellular device can be connected for signal booster because this is a direct connection signal booster kit but that application can be limitless. For example, that mobile device can be a cellular modem, data card, lotto machine, remote monitoring system within an alarm system, wireless remote monitored signage, fleet monitoring system, mobile hotspot device such as Mi-Fi, Jetpack, etc. - as long as it has an exterior antenna port consisting of SMA female connector to connect the cable with its SMA male connector. Original weBoost M2M Cell Booster Kit SKU # 470119 or wa470119 (USA). Previous direct connect Wilson amplifier model # 273201, part # 801201, 801212, 801215. Current Wilson Pro M2M Cell Booster Kit SKU # 460119 or wa460119 (USA).
This USA version works for all cellular service providers in USA such as AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Boost signal reception inside Machine to Machines and Internet of Things with stronger connection with respective network's cell tower. Strong connection means fewer disconnects and redialling, less loss of data due to lack of realtime wireless connectivity, and fewer Internet hang-ups or freezing / buffering.
Enjoy fast 3G + 4G LTE mobile internet downloads and uploads in your M2Ms and IoTs after installing this M2M and IoT cellular signal amplifier kit. WilsonPro Signal 4G LTE kit is easy to install. It installs easily using DIY installation instructions included. It is self-regulating, plug and play, automatically adjusts antenna signal gain as needed, and requires no maintenance after it is installed. How does it Work?
Mobile signal amplifier kit picks up existing weak signals outside using the compact high-gain antenna. Then it sends that signal to signal amplifier inside the IT machine cabinet for amplification numerous times using Wilson Booster's patented SmarTech III technology. The boosted signals easily bypass all interior and exterior obstructions. It provides the signal directly to the cellular modem inside which then successfully implements required wireless data connections and transfers.
Please note that there must be some signal strength for exterior antenna to boost. Cut off point is -105dB which is practically a dead zone. If there's no signal to amplify, even a direct-connect signal booster like this one will not help keep cellular modem connected consistently to mobile network. A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) or Small Cell Technology signal enhancing system will be required in those instances when there's no cellular service outside where external antenna can be installed. Please refer to brief version of Wilson Pro Signal 4G Installation Guide for basic installation details.

-
Will this boost Metro PCS signal?
Yes. The Signal 4G is able to boost many different carrier frequencies on the data networks. This product is designed to plug in to a cellular modem, router, hotspot, or vending device to increase data network speeds.
-
How does the performance of the Signal 4G compare to the 4G-M, or 4G-X? Which would be more effective in extremely weak coverage zones?
The Drive 4G-X will be the best booster for rural coverage areas. It has the max allotted power back to the cell tower allowed by the FCC, allowing cell phones to connect farther from the tower than any of our other vehicle boosters. The Drive 4G-M is great for applications that struggle with signal, but aren't as rural. The Signal 4G is different in comparison because this is a direct connect device, only used for M2M solutions. The Drive 4G-X cannot be directly connected. Choosing between these through boosters would largely depend on which device you're trying to signal-boost and what type of location, and where you're aiming to boost it.
-
What is the best booster and antenna combo for marine application going to Cradlepoint 1400 router? It has Verizon service. Arch mount antenna needs at least 10 ft. Cable and DC power.
For router boosting, we recommend this Signal 4G. This kit will come with the booster, 3 feet of RG-174 coax cable, power supply, as well as a 4 inches magnetic mount antenna with 12.5 feet of coaxial cable. We also have a hardwire supply available for this kit (Part # 859923 which you can order over phone by calling us). The connectors on your unit are SMA female, so the cradle should connect right in to the unit via the RG174 cable.
-
Will this boost the signal for my wireless phones. I am on Verizon Wireless network.Signal 4G is going to provide a stronger signal because it is putting the boosted signal directly into the cellular device. With the wireless units, there is signal lost between the indoor antenna of the booster and the external antenna of the cellular device.
This booster is designed primarily for M2M solutions such as vending machines, Redboxes, etc. It is not designed to boost cellular signal, and cannot legally be directly connected to a cell phone. Indoor or vehicle "wireless signal boosters" would be more appropriate for your application to boost signal to your smartphones.
-
In rural locations, for data only use, would I be better off with the greater power of the Drive 4G-X with the internal antenna positioned near my cellular router, or with the Signal 4G connected directly to the router?
The Signal 4G is going to provide a stronger signal because it is putting the boosted signal directly into the cellular device. With the wireless units, there is signal lost between the indoor antenna of the booster and the external antenna of the cellular device.
-
I have built a residence in my metal building. No cellular devices currently work. This is in a very rural area and the signal currently available outside is 2 bars on the 4g network. Will this device boost signal in the residence?
The Signal 4G is a machine to machine device, mostly used for vending machines, routers, and other approved cellular devices. If you are looking for a M2M application, this is the booster we recommend. However, it is not designed for cellular coverage inside the home. For a metal building, and residence area, we recommend using one of our home units. The type of home unit will largely depend on the size of the area you are looking to cover. We are happy to go over options with you over the phone so please give us a call.
-
When the booster is powered down (not plugged in to power source), will the data modem still connect to antenna through booster? For example, will the signal strength be the same as connecting the external antenna directly to the modem?
The booster is not pass-through, and the gain of the antenna is not going to go into the modem through the booster. You would need to attach the antenna straight to the modem, without a booster in line, to see a boost when you don't have power.
-
In the Package content, there is just one SMA to SMA cable (3 feet RG174 with SMA Male to SMA Male part # 951151). Is this cable enough to connect this amplifier to the outdoor antenna and the final data device?
The 3 inches SMA cable is designed to go from the booster to whatever device you are trying to connect to. The outdoor antenna that came in the kit has a 12.5 foot cable attached to it to go to the booster.
-
Will this work with Straight Talk 4g LTE GSM prepaid cell phones?
The Signal 4G is a direct connect booster designed to be used with approved cellular modems or devices. This signal booster is not legally able to be plugged directly in to a cell phone. To improve signal for your smart phone, we recommend looking in to our vehicle, or home boosters. For a more accurate recommendation, please contact us.
-
I'm needing a M2M solution but my customer device has just a wireless connection (not physical SMA port available). Is it possible to use a DT antenna connected to the sig. amplifier to provide the required wireless connectivity?
This is a direct connect device only. If your device does not have some type of external antenna port, you will need to look at another sig. booster. Most modem or machine devices that don't have a SMA port will have another type of external antenna adapter port. I recommend reaching out to us with your model number and location of use to help us figure out your best options.

I'm using a MiFi, Verizon hotspot. I am currently working remotely and need something to boost the signal for uploads and downloads to my client. Is this booster the one that will help me best? It appears that I am only pulling a 3G right now.
Since you are in a lower signal area, we would recommend the Drive 4G-X (470510) in this case. The Drive 4G-X has the max allotted power back to the cellular tower, allowed by the FCC. This allows for a better connection back to the tower. It is stronger than any of our other current vehicle boosters. You can then place the hotspot closer to its internal antenna. You can find it here: https://www.signalbooster.com/products/car-4g-lte-signal-booster-for-multiple-cell-phones-devices
-
Can I turn off the bands not relevant to my area?
Our boosters work to cover many bands at once. This offers flexibility to cover multiple service carriers, as well as the opportunity for carrier's to use them should they decide to switch frequencies, or need overflow space. There is no way to shut off any bands on the unit.
-
I just purchased Karma Go - It is a wifi hotspot that runs on 4G LTE with support for Sprint. Will one of your signal boosters work with this? If so, which one will work best. I will be using the KarmaGo inside homes.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to support Sprints 4G/LTE network, as their network reaches beyond the frequencies we currently cover. Typically, for hotspot, router, and approved devices, we would recommend the Signal 4G for all the rest of cell service carriers in USA & Canada except Sprint 4G LTE networks.
-
Does this unit come with omni antenna and coaxial cable?
Yes, the Signal 4G will come with an omni antenna (301126) which comes with 12.5 feet of coax cable. The booster will also come with 3 inches of coax cable with SMA male connectors on each end.

You can use the direct connect booster for your hotspot in your vehicle. We do have a DC power supply for the Signal 4G. The part number will be 859113. Please call us with this part # to order over the phone.
-
I need cell signal for remote telemetry. The site is in the basement (no cell reception) an urban location with strong outside cell signal. Is WeBoost an option? Will strong exterior cell signal saturate booster?
Unfortunately, if you are unable to get the antenna outside of the basement area where there is cell signal, the booster is not recommended. We have to have signal at the external antenna location to be able to boost the signal. The other concern we have is, knowing what frequencies the telemetry unit is using. Older technology was typically outside of the range of what we could cover. However, newer technologies sometimes use cellular towers for coverage. We would like to work with you directly to help determine if our boosters would be a good fit for your situation. You can reach us directly for assistance or check which frequencies are needed and whether those are stated in specifications table of the signal booster kit.
-
Will a 3g phone work on a strictly 4g booster?
Our boosters are backwards compatible. Therefore, our 4G boosters can support 3G devices as well. As long as there's enough outside signal, you should be able to see an increase in signal. The Signal 4G is an M2M device meant for direct connection to approved cellular devices such as routers, and modems, or similar devices. This booster cannot be plugged directly in to a cell phone.
-
Can I use this 15db M2M as pre-amplifier to boost low incoming signal to a standard SOHO booster?
The use of pre-amplifiers is now illegal due to FCC regulation. We would not recommend using the M2M inline for a SOHO device. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
-
Hello, I am on a crowed project and at peak moment, lunch, break, etc. etc. I have a hard time getting reliable service. Can I use this device solely for my device? Or will it boost anyone in my area?
This device is only intended for approved cellular devices like modems, Jetpacks, routers, etc. This device is not intended to connect directly to your cellphone. There's a chance that the trouble you are experiencing, may be a limitation of the cell tower nearby. We recommend reaching out to us directly for assistance.
-
I'm usually outdoors camping and doing other outdoor activities with friends and family. Do you have a personal portable booster? Sometimes my signal gets sketchy and low, so I would like to be assured in case of emergency. What do you recommend?
We would like to work with you directly to better understand your needs, and see if we have a signal booster to match. Please reach out to us by calling us, emailing, or chatting live online.

Warning
Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
