By plugging the antenna directly into the Wi-Fi receiver you can achieve an impressive range of reception with a wide vertical access scope of coverage, allowing you to pick up Wi-Fi signals as they bounce off nearby obstacles. With a height of 1.5 feet, this omnidirectional outdoor antenna is lightweight and competitively priced when compared to similar competing products.
How it works.
By using the three included elements in this Wi-Fi repeater pack, you can share your boosted Wi-Fi signal amongst nearby compatible devices. Using this kit is as simple as connecting the R36A to your computer with an ethernet cable and then completing the once-off setup and configuration process. Next, connect the antenna to the receiver, and then the receiver to the R36A's included USB port. The R368 includes inbuilt software to scan for Wi-Fi networks and will guide you through the set-up wizard, scanning for nearby wireless networks and connecting as appropriate. Next, you will need to enter a handle and password for your new Wi-Fi local network, then it is a simple matter of connecting your nearby devices (anywhere within a distance of a couple of hundred feet) to your new Wi-Fi network.

Range.
Of course, environmental factors like interference and physical obstacles can make it difficult to accurately predict the specific range that you can achieve. As a general guide, if you can normally achieve a very weak signal (such as one bar) to your desired network, this product should allow you to achieve a significantly greater signal. However, if your devices normally cannot connect at all to your desired network, this setup may not provide the results you're looking for.
Included in the box:
- Alfa R36A USB router.
- 5 dBi RP-SMA antenna (for R36 signal transmit).
- Tube-U(N) USB receiver + 8m (26 ft) USB cable.
- AOA-2409TF 9 dBi omni antenna (for signal receive).
- 12v power supply for R36 (supports 100-240v, has North America plug, use in Europe requires converter).
- Tube-U(N) needs no power supply, draws power from the R36 via USB cable.
- Waterproof tape and wire ties for mounting tube to pole.
- R36 car/vehicle power supply adapter.
Wi-Fi Camp Pro 2 Hardware and Software Setup Video Guide:
Using an Apple iPhone to set up Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 or Camp Pro 2 Mini.
How to set up Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 or Camp Pro 2 Mini on an Apple iPhone?
Let us list steps to take in order to set up Alpha Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 Mini on an iPhone 7. The process is going to be the same for other iPhones, and it will also be the same for the Alpha Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 Mini full version.
Setup Process.
The first thing we need to do is tap on Settings, and we're going to go in to Wi-fi. For the setup process, we don't want to be connected to a local internet network, we actually want to join the Wi-fi Camp Pro network. By default, the Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 network should not have a password when you get it out of box. When you get to alpha login screen, it will ask you to please set up the password to access setup in the future. Go ahead and create a secure password that you would like to use. It is going to ask you to type in the password again. Then tap submit.
Logging in.
You will be logged into the Alpha Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 setup area, and you should see a page that shows all the wi-fi networks around you. We're going to tap on the one that we want to connect to, and then tap the select button. This takes us to the final page of setup. If your network has a password, enter it into the hotspot password field. Once that is done, we're going to scroll down and create a network password. This is the password for your Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 network. We're using the same password as our office network where we're doing the test setup, but you can use whatever password you would like and then tap the finish button.
On screen instructions.
Let us take a look at on-screen instructions. It says verify wireless authentication, setup wireless and check connectivity, and tells us to please reconnect wi-fi and then select our Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 network. What we need to do is join the Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 Mini network again because we just completed configuration. The network is now password protected, and it has a lock symbol. We were put back on our office network by default. So we're going to tap onto the Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 network, and this time, it asks for the password. This is the password that we gave it in the final step of setup. It comes back with an error that says incorrect password; that means we mistyped the password, so we need to try again.
Connecting to the Internet.
Now we're connected to the Wi-fi Camp Pro 2 network. Let us see if we can get internet access. We're going to go to signalbooster.com, which is our business webpage. It loads the home page, so we know we have fully connected to the website.
If anything goes wrong at any time, you can go back and make sure you're connected to your Wi-fi Camp Pro network, and then you can open the safari browser and go to the login IP address for the device, which is 192.168.36.1. This is going to ask you for your administrator password that was used on the first setup step.
That gets us back inside the status area. It tells us what network we're connected to, and the signal strength.
Troubleshooting.
If it is showing that you're not connected to a network anymore, you can tap on the menu and go into easy setup, and this will start the setup process again. It will do a scan showing you the networks that the Camp Pro can detect, and you can pick out the network you would like to connect and go back to the setup process.

I currently have the Alpa Camp Pro 2 WiFi extender and would like something I could pair with it to improve WiFi reception. Do you offer anything that will work for me?
Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 already has been optimized to receive Wi-Fi. One upgrade some customers go with, is an ultra directional antenna if they know the exact source of their WiFi signal. Here's the link to the best one we recommend:

I am looking for a long range booster to boost the wifi signal from my lodge to my rv park. The distance is around 600 feet from my router.
For your needs we would recommend the referenced Long Range Wi-Fi Repeater Kit. It is a wifi repeater that takes a weak signal and strengthens it for multiple devices. We recommend placing this where you can already see at least one bar of Wi-Fi signal using a computer or phone. Then it can strengthen the signal. If the signal you are trying to improve cannot be detected at all where you plan to use it, then you may be too far away or there may be too many obstacles in between. In our testing and from customer feedback, we can say the general usage range in a normal environment (campground with RVs and trees) is about 500-1000 feet. In more open areas it can be much farther, while in areas with a high number of obstacles or heavy interference it may be less than this.

We have installed our internet booster, however it has not improved the distance of our signal.
Are you referring to this reference Long Range Wi-Fi Repeater Kit WiFi Camp Pro 2 Version 2? It has the highest allowed FCC power for a wireless extender, so with proper outdoor mounting it should extend your range in most all environments.
Please let us know what you are using to make the comparison. Is it purely performance (such as the Internet speed is slow when connecting directly to the WiFi source and still slow through the Camp Pro), or when you go through the Camp Pro setup does it show a signal strength for the source network that is comparable to the number of your signal bars on the computer (for example, you get 1 bar to the network directly, and the Camp Pro shows only 20% signal strength to the same network).
Please also describe your environment for us and where you have the Camp Pro mounted. Please contact us and provide more details so we can help. Thank you. -
I am on a job site and about 60 feet away is another job trailer that has wifi. Can I use this to pick up their signal and boost it into our trailer to run 2-4 computers? We're using a small Linkys booster set up in the window. It works but internet is slower than when we're in that trailer.
It should work but I am not sure if it would work any faster than the linksys. This does extend coverage area by using 802.11n technology, for which the FCC allows the most power. Conversely data moves slower over this standard so compared to closer direct connections, speeds can be slower. What speed do you get now if you run a speed test? Please contact us for assistance.

Can this be set up from an iPad?
Yes it sure can. The steps of setting it up from an iPad are virtually the same as setting up on an Apple iPhone.
-
Will this wifi signal booster work with any public wifi?
Yes, it will work with any public wifi. It will work for multiple devices at once such as laptops, tablets, phones, etc.
We recommend either this, or the mini version (portable) of this one listed at: https://www.signalbooster.com/products/portable-wifi-signal-booster-for-small-spaces-in-homes-hotels-rvs
Both kits, when setup, will strengthen your connection to the public WiFi and repeat it as your own private hotspot for multiple devices.
For best results when using both wifi enhancing systems, we recommend placing this in a location where you can already see at least one bar of Wi-Fi signal using a computer with a built-in Wi-Fi card. Then it can strengthen the signal. If the signal you're trying to improve cannot be detected at all where you plan to use this long range wifi booster kit, then you may be too far away or there may be too many obstacles in between. -
Can This be used for WIFI smart devices? Like Light bulbs and smart switches?
Yes, those devices need wifi so this will help by strengthing signal to reach and connect strongly to all those devices including monitored video security cameras that are within range of your wifi coverage.

Warning
Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
