Product Description
50 Ohm Coaxial Cable with FME-Male and FME Female Connector is available in lengths of 1 meter (3.3 ft.) to 35 ft. These Low-Loss Coaxial Extension Cables (50 Ohm) have FME-Male connector on one end and a FME-Female connector on other end.
FME cables are typically used for cellular-phone and data-card amplifiers and antennas. They serve as excellent jumper cables or extension cables in various applications that include:
- Antennas for 3G, 4G, and LTE.
- Amplifiers, Routers, and Cellular Modems.
- ADS-B Receivers.
- Lightning Arresters or Surge Protectors
- Ham Radio Equipment.
Note that this cable is not used for TV or Wi-Fi.
General Product Information:
- Jumper Cable – FME-Female to FME-Male.
- This is an ultra-low loss coaxial cable.
- Connectors are nickel-plated for low loss.
- Precision machined in ISO 9001 facilities.
- Entirely lead-free and ROHS compliant cable with connectors.
- Impedance: 50 Ohm.
You will notice two types of coaxial cables in the drop-down menu: LMR-100 and LMR-200. Both types are double-shielded for low signal-loss, very flexible/easily bendable, outdoor rated, while also suitable for indoor use. Both coax types have a black PVC jacket.
LMR100: The 3ft. version is LMR100, which has less attenuation (signal loss) than standard type RG174 cables. The double-shielding is a major factor in the higher quality of this cable, which translates into lower loss/better performance. Cable is equivalent to LMR-100 in thickness. This cable is rated for outdoor use and is also suitable for indoor use.
LMR200: Double the thickness of LMR100, for much less attenuation (signal loss) than LMR100 or RG58. The higher quality of the cable translates into lower loss/better performance. The cable lengths 10 feet or more are LMR-200 equivalent.
For Mobile Equipment, this is a miniature 50 Ohm RF connector with excellent performance from DC to 2.0 GHz. FME is primarily used with RG58 or equivalent coax cables used in mobile applications and installations. FME female's narrow, cone-like shape allows FME cables to be snaked through often tight access holes or spaces of a vehicle to the desired equipment location(s) where an FME male adapter to the required equipment connector series is fitted to the female cable connector.

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
