Product Description

Yagi Antenna (50 Ohm) | weBoost 301111 Wilson Electronics / WilsonPro.

2G and 3G 700MHz, 800MHz, 900MHz Yagi Antenna. It works with 50 Ohm systems. It is an outdoor directional antenna. Wilson Electronics part number weBoost 301111 (replacement of discontinued SureCall SC-230-800/ Cellphone-Mate CM-230-800). It provides antenna reception Gain of up to +10.8 dB (See specifications below). UPC: 813986001912.

Please note: User Guide tab shows SureCall SC-230-800 user guide. However, that antenna is discontinued. This is weBoost 301111 which has minor differences. Please see specifications of this antenna below. Thank you.

This Yagi or Log Periodic Antenna purchase includes mounting kit as well. The Yagi is a directional antenna that is designed to be used in areas of weak cellular signal. It is aimed directly at a cellular tower to provide the maximum connectivity. It is weather resistant. It is easy to install. Once up and running, the Yagi gives you faster data speed, and improved cellular signal.

With an impedance of 50 Ohm, the antenna is a high gain type, best for outdoors. Point it towards the cellular tower that is not only unobstructed but also the nearest. Do point it to the cell tower that belongs to the Carrier whose signals need to be boosted. This part # Wilson Electronics 301111 is replacement of discontinued SureCall SC230-800/ Cellphone-Mate CM230-800, Sure-Call SC230800/ Cellphone-Mate CM230800 with UPC 857593005703.

Yagi Antenna is a directional antenna. Directional antennas need to be pointed toward the nearest cellular tower for the best results. Yagi Antenna includes mounting equipment to attach to a pole .5 inch to 1.5 inch in diameter (pole not included).

Discontinued CellphoneMate CM230-8000MHz installation instructions are similar as this weBoost 301111 instructions and they are as follows:

  1. Place a U-bolt around the pole and through the two holes at the top and of the antenna plate.
  2. Place a flat washer, a lock washer and a hex nut on each of the bolt ends.
  3. Using an adjustable wrench or 1/2" wrench, tighten the nuts.
  4. Place the second U-bolt around the pole and through the two holes at the bottom of the shelter.
  5. Put a flat washer, a lock washer, and a hex nut on each bolt end, and tighten the hex nuts so that the Yagi remains in place, but can still be adjusted.
  6. Rotate the Yagi so that is points to the desired station/repeater/receiver.
  7. Tighten the hex nuts so that the Yagi is firmly attached.
  8. Place the omni antenna a distance above the Yagi antenna, providing space between the mounted antennas. Ideally, omni antenna should be mounted flush with the very top of the pole, so that the pole does not interfere with the antenna’s communication.
  9. While holding the omni antenna against the pole, place a U-bolt around the pole and through the two holes at the top and of the antenna plate.
  10. Place a flat washer, a lock washer and a hex nut on each of the bolt ends.
  11. Using an adjustable wrench or 1/2" wrench, tighten the nuts.
  12. Place the second U-bolt around the pole and through the two holes at the bottom of the shelter.

Questions & Answers

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Will this antenna work with 900 MHz freq.? Or Is it only 800MHz specifically?

It will work for all frequencies between 806  to 960 MHz.

  • I was told by the tech to buy a SC-231W Yagi antenna is this the right one? If not what should I buy? Thanks

This referenced 18-elements antenna is not that model. Here's the link to the model SC-231W.

  • Would this be a good antenna for Trunk Tracking at 800mhz on a SDR Radio. I believe the control freq. is 774.83125c.

Yes, this antenna does support 700-900 MHz. Though if you plan on using this in a vehicle, this antenna can only be used stationary, per FCC regulations.

  • I live in a rural area, my provider's cell tower is 13 miles away as the crow flies over flat terrain. Is this antenna suitable for that application?

This antenna itself would need to be part of system that would include cabling, a signal booster and interior antenna. We would need to know what equipment you have, or what you are planning to do with this antenna plus other information to see if this antenna would work for you. Please contact us.

Warning

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.

Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:

Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.

Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.

If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.

For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
