Product Description
Faraday tape is a signal blocking tape that reduces oscillation between exterior and interior antennas in a cell phone signal booster system.
Just like a Faraday Cage blocks wireless telecommunication signals and EMF, this Faraday RF tape is made of signal-reducing material that blocks electromagnetic radiation to maximum extent possible. It helps in shielding RF signals. It blocks all types of wireless signals. For example, it blocks mobile 4G, LTE, 5G. It also works in blocking wifi 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, etc. including cordless phone signals.
All cellular amplifier kits require specific minimum distance between outside and inside antennae to prevent oscillation, or "feedback". An oscillation or feedback loop can cause signal amplifier to reduce its output power and even cause complete power off or shut down totally to comply with FCC regulations that prevent damage to the mobile network.
If you cannot keep that minimum distance due to space or other constraints, applying this DIY Faraday material tape to the back side of the window antenna or any external donor antenna facing internal server antenna should do the trick.
It can also be used to tape multiple Faraday Fabric pieces together to create larger area shield or Faraday enclosure to prevent or reduce signal strength in particular area, or direction. The tape fabric can be cut or trimmed with scissors to fit your specific need. Please take time needed to adhere tape carefully on area that needs to be covered or made signal-proof because the strong sticky adhesive will make it difficult to remove the tape easily after it is in place.
