Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i Intro Video:
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i In-Building Enterprise 3G, 4G, 5G Cellular Coverage Solution.
For enterprises, Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000/i is an affordable, all digital solution providing uniform, high quality cellular signals throughout a building.
Why is the Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i needed?
Modern building materials, while improving energy efficiency, will block or inhibit cellular service from outside network. Cellular coverage is an increasingly critical part of any business operation and daily life. In fact, cellular coverage can be considered a safety or even regulatory requirement, depending on the region. Building owners need a flexible, high quality solution. Installers and value added resellers need a product that can serve the majority of building types and not take months to deploy. Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i solves that problem. It is an affordable, all digital solution providing uniform, high quality cellular signals throughout the building. Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i is scalable to fit buildings of all sizes. It is carrier approved and guaranteed network safe.
What is Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i?
Unlike traditional analog boosters and passive DAS technology, QUATRA delivers a cellular signal that is up to 1000 times stronger. It utilizes CAT 5e cabling for the connection between the head end and each remote. The remotes are powered via power over ethernet, delivering an unattenuated signal throughout the building. Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i can be installed in just days, compared to months typical of other solutions, and at a price point that meets the business budget.
Features of the Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i.
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i is comprised of a network unit and up to six coverage units per network unit. The network unit takes the donor input from up to four carrier signal sources. The scalable architecture allows for as many network units needed for the size building being covered. The signal source can be off air (OA) / direct Carrier feed line, or over the air (OTA) from the macro network, or delivered via a small cell.
The Network Unit (NU) receives and individually processes channels from each carrier, allowing a higher gain on weaker channels up to 100 DB. The channels are digitized and sent over a pair of ethernet cables to each coverage unit for retransmission through one or more service antennae.
The coverage unit can either deliver the signal directly with the included Cel-fi blade antenna, or passively distribute to up to 10 Cel-Fi low profile omni antennas. Additionally, the Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000 range extender is a power over ethernet device that extends the maximum distance between the Cel-Fi QUATRA network unit and the coverage unit, up to 200 meters.

Questions & Answers
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
How does the QUATRA 4000i work?
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000i is a powerful cellular signal distribution solution. It is fundamentally comprised of a Network Unit (NU) and up to six (6) Coverage Units (per NU).
The Network Unit takes the donor input from up to four (4) carrier signal sources. The signal source can be off-air (over-the-air (OTA)) from the macro network, or delivered via a small cell. Each port is carrier specific and can be either off-air or small cell driven.
The NU receives the source signal, digitizes the RF, and distributes it over two Category (Cat5e) cables (per CU) to the CU. The CU converts the digital signal back to RF, boosts it, and transmits from its RF port to provide cellular coverage at the location. -
Can I use the QUATRA 4000 system outdoors?
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000 is for indoor use only and it should not be used outdoors.
-
What is the difference between the QUATRA 4000 and the QUATRA 4000i?
There are two variants available for the Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000:
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000: The QUATRA 4000 is FCC Part 20 certified. It supports bands 2,4,5,12,13, 25.

Warning
Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
