The R36A router allows for the sharing of the Wi-Fi long-range connection picked up by the USB wireless adapter by way of its inbuilt USB port. When configured in the right way, the components of the kit allow you to extend a low strength distant Wi-Fi signal to all compatible devices including tablets, printers, and smartphones. The R36A features inbuilt hardware upgrades to ensure full reliability and high performance, with an easy to follow on-page configuration interface which makes setup a breeze.

Alfa AWUS036NH USB receiver.

USB receiver features a generous 10 foot USB cable connecting the R36A to its inbuilt USB port. It is the USB receiver that starts the process by detecting long-range Wi-Fi signals. Coupled with its dipole 5 dBi antenna and featuring an RP-SMA antenna male connector, the USB receiver can either be plugged directly into a computer running the Windows 10 operating system to extend the Wi-Fi signal available to that computer only, or can be used in conjunction with the R36A to create your Wi-Fi hotspot and share your connection with other nearby Wi-Fi-enabled computers and other devices simultaneously.

How it works.

Use all of these components above together to boost and share a Wi-Fi signal. Setting up this Wi-Fi repeater pack and creating your personal Wi-Fi hotspot to share your Wi-Fi signal with nearby devices is as simple as connecting the R36A to your computer via Wi-Fi or the ethernet cable and running through the one-time setup and configuration process. Next, connect the USB receiver to the inbuilt USB port at the back of the R36A, and use the inbuilt software to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks. You will then be asked to create a handle and password to protect your new personal Wi-Fi hotspot, and can then use these details to connect other nearby devices to a new hotspot. Devices can be anywhere within a radius of a couple of hundred feet to connect to your new Wi-Fi network.
