Product Description
This purchase has Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, 16 dBi Gain Yagi antenna, and a five meter RP-SMA connector 200 series extension cable.
Do you already have a Wi-Fi adapter with long-range capabilities and an antenna port (RP-SMA)? If you're looking for an extension cable and outside antenna to complement your existing Wi-Fi adapter, this package could be just what you're looking for. Here, we have bundled a yagi antenna with 16 dBi gain with a five-meter extension cable to save you money. In this package, you will receive one yagi antenna suitable for outdoor use and with 16 elements, along with a five-meter (16 feet) extension cable to provide the link between your antenna and your existing Wi-Fi adapter.
16 dBi outdoor Wi-Fi yagi directional antenna:
This antenna is a directional, yagi 16 unit antenna with an RP-SMA connector. At 23 inches in length, it comes with all mounting equipment necessary for a complete outside installation. The purpose of using a directional antenna is to concentrate gain in one direction. This dramatically improves the signal over a longer distance in one particular direction, even when obstacles stand in your way. It is intended that antenna be mounted parallel to the earth, facing an outwards direction. It is important to avoid pointing antenna downwards or upwards as this can have a negative impact on the performance of your antenna.
Designed solely for outdoor use, it is not intended that these antennas be used indoors. For best performance, ensure that there is as much open space as possible between antenna and the first obstacle standing between antenna and ultimate endpoint. If antenna is placed immediately in front of the first obstacle, performance can be negatively impacted. You may need to undergo a process of trial and error before determining the prime position and location of the antenna to optimize performance.
5m (16 ft.) 200 Series RP-SMA male to RP-SMA female connector antenna extension cable:
The bundled five-meter extension cable provides shielding of CFD-200 and offers male to female (both RP-SMA) connections with low loss. The male RP-SMA connector is intended to connect to wireless USB adapters and PCI which are equipped with RP-SMA ports, while the female connector will connect directly to your antenna. Specially designed to be a low loss extension cable, this cable actively reduces amount of loss in gain you would otherwise have noticed over such a long distance. When compared to cheaper alternatives, this extension cable is worth every penny as you notice that your antenna's signal gain does not experience a dramatic reduction over the length of the extension cable as would otherwise be the case with lower quality products.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Would this work with a 2.4 GHZ wireless camera system to improve signal strength between the camera (mounted on the back of a 5th Wheel Camper) and the wireless monitor (mounted in the truck)? If not, what would you recommend? Thanks for your feedback.
If we understand correctly, you have a camera mounted on the back of a 5th wheel, and a monitor in the truck pulling the 5th wheel, and you are not getting very good WiFi signal between the two?
This is not a very big distance to cover, so we're not sure what could be causing the weak signal.
Does the camera device mounted on the back have any type of antenna connector to it, that would allow for an external antenna upgrade?
This Yagi is very directional and may not be the best choice, but you could combo a basic omni antenna with 16 or 32 feet of extension cable. Getting the antenna away from the back side and closer to the truck could help boost performance.

Note: For any signal booster to help, outside signal strength must be at least -110 dB or there must be a clear line of sight to a cell tower that is within twenty miles. Before ordering, please check outside signal level in decibels or ensure that you can make and hold a phone call at any good spot outside where you can mount an exterior antenna. Square footage stated in signal booster listings is based on good signal outside. If it is any weaker, the boosted sq. ft. area will be considerably lower, accordingly.
Kevin K. of Anderson, California gave the following review:
Website is easy to use with plain straight forward info but could have had more on testing signal strength to make sure you get a strong enough booster.
Therefore, please note that stated sq. ft. coverage is based on good signal outside. For best results: If outside signal is weak, we suggest choosing the next higher sq. ft. coverage kit. If outside signal is very weak, we suggest choosing the kit with even more higher sq. ft. range bracket. Basically, higher the sq. ft. bracket, the more powerful the signal amplifier with greater Gain as well as higher uplink and downlink output power.
If outside signal is too weak (weaker than -110 dB), submit request for cell coverage solution assessment. Upon receipt of questionnaire, we will perform residential or business site survey. This will help us determine the system that is needed to improve cell coverage. Then, we will create system design using that system such as femtocell, active or hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS), or other carrier feed signal enhancing method available that will work at your signal-challenged location. Finally, we will schedule for installation after equipment and installation service quote has been approved by you, or your company.
For non installation-included kits: Most home / office / building cell signal booster kits only include bracket to mount exterior antenna on outside wall, edge of roof, or existing pipe up to 2 inches in diameter. Mounting pole not included with most kits, unless stated specifically that it is included for free. Therefore, a mounting post must be purchased separately if you will require it to mount exterior antenna.
